Funeral services for Lorvin Wilde, 93, Willow Creek, rural Vernon Center, Minnesota will be held on Monday, January 17, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church ? Willow Creek with the Rev. Craig Cummins officiating. Interment will be at St. John's Lutheran South Willow Creek Cemetery. Mr. Wilde died Thursday evening, January 13, 2005 at Madelia Area Medical Center, Madelia, Minnesota. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 16, 2005 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Zaharia Family Funeral and Cremation Service of Truman, Minnesota and one hour prior to the service at the church. Lorvin Wilde was born on November 21, 1911 in rural Blue Earth County, Minnesota to Louis E. and Minna L. (Zemple) Wilde. He attended school at St. John's Lutheran School ? Willow Creek, 2nd District. On November 29, 1942, Lorvin was married to Verona Urban by Rev. Schramm at St. John's Lutheran Church ? Willow. He farmed with his father his entire life in the Willow Creek area. He continued farming after his father's death until retiring in 1974. Lorvin and Verona moved into the Lutheran Manor in Truman on January 17, 2004. Lorvin was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church ? Willow Creek. He loved farming, gardening, fishing and playing cards. Lorvin is survived by his wife of 62 years, Verona Wilde of Truman, Minnesota; one sister, Erna Arndt of Truman, Minnesota; one niece, Lee Ann Sager and her husband, Arlo and four sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Leona Black and two brothers-in-law.
