Armond Leon Ikier was born on September 13, 1924, in rural Vernon Center, Minnesota to August and Lydia (Daluge) Ikier. Armond attended parochial school at St. John's Lutheran School - Willow Creek. He helped his father farm until he served in the United States Navy during World War II. On May 2, 1948, Armond married Irma Wiederhoeft at St. John's Lutheran Church - Antrim. Armond farmed until March of 2004 when he entered the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia, Minnesota. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church - Willow Creek and the Lewisville American Legion Post 561.
Armond is survived by his wife, Irma of Willow Creek, rural Vernon Center, Minnesota and one sister, Muriel Johnson of Winthrop, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Larry.
