Viola Beata Witt was born November 3, 1918 in Truman, Minnesota to Alfred and Beata (Affeldt) Witt. She attended school and graduated from Truman High School in 1936. On November 16, 1941, Viola married Earl Walter Lebs at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Truman. They farmed in the Truman area for many years. Viola was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Truman, where she was active in Ladies Aid and Circle. Viola loved doing crosswords, cooking and doing needlework. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family.
Viola is survived by her husband, Earl Lebs of Truman, Minnesota; one daughter, Julie Martin of Rochester, Minnesota; one son, Joseph Lebs and his wife, Carol of Blue Springs, Missouri; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Leona Witt.
