Elenora Elizabeth Meyer

Funeral services for Elenora E. Meyer, 92, Truman, MN will be held on Thursday, September 2nd, 2004 at 10:30 am at St. John's Lutheran Church-Antrim, rural Truman, with Rev. Matthew Rusert officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Meyer died Sunday morning, August 29th, 2004 at the Lutheran Retirement Home, Truman. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 4-7:00 pm at Olson-Zaharia Funeral Home, Truman and one hour before the services in the church. Elenora Elizabeth Brummond was born on January 12, 1912 in Bancroft, Neb. to Carl and Bertha (Kollel) Brummond. She attended parochial school at St. John's Lutheran School-Antrim. On February 1st, 1931 she married Ernest "Hans? Meyer at St. John's Lutheran Church-Antrim. She was a homemaker and they farmed in the Truman area for many years. Elenora entered the Lutheran Retirement Home in April of 2001. Hans died April 24th, 2002. Elenora was a life-long member of St. John's Lutheran Church-Antrim. Elenora is survived by one daughter, Arlene Peterson and her husband Doyle, Truman; three sons, Delvin Meyer and his wife Phyllis of Mankato, Donald Meyer and his wife Sandra of Cologne, MN, Gary Meyer and his wife Linda of Truman; one son-in-law, Armon Helvig of Sun City, AZ; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; two great, great grandsons; and two special nieces she raised, Vi Ellingsberg, Madelia, MN and Valeen Altenburg, Lewisville, MN. Elenora was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, DeLores Helvig; one great granddaughter, Shannon Postma; five brothers; and one sister.
