Funeral services for Adeline Wolf Bannick, 99, of Fairmont, Minnesota will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2004 at the Olson-Zaharia Funeral Home in Fairmont with Pastor Richard Abel officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park in Truman, Minnesota.
Mrs. Bannick died Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at the Lutz Wing of the Fairmont Medical Center-Mayo Health System in Fairmont. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Adeline Wolf was born March 11, 1905 to Henrich and Sophie (Rippe) Wolf in Schwarme, Germany. She visited the United States from 1923 to 1926 and in 1927 returned to New York City. On April 1, 1928, Adeline was united in marriage to William Bannick in New York, New York. She and her husband were superintendents of an apartment building. Her husband died in 1971. Adeline moved to Fairmont, Minnesota in May of 1976 to be near her nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and its Women's Guild, H.O.P.E., the Phythian Sisters and Fairmont Senior Citizens.
Survivors include nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and one sister.
