Private family funeral services for Lorraine Leet, 82, Granada, MN will be held at Olson-Zaharia Funeral Home, Fairmont, MN on Sunday, January 18th, 2004 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Jean Wallenfang of the Congregational Church of Granada, United Church of Christ is officiating. Mrs. Leet died Friday morning, January 16th, 2004 at the Lutheran Retirement Home, Truman, MN. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery, Fairmont, MN. Lorraine Abel was born on January 13th, 1922 in rural Trimont, MN to John and Verna Tenney Abel. She attended schools in Granada, MN graduating from High School in 1939. Lorraine then attended Mankato Business College for two years. She moved to Washington D.C. where she worked in a government office. She moved back to Granada in 1942. On November 22, 1943, Lorraine married Leslie R. Leet at the Congregational Church of Granada, United Church of Christ. She worked at several businesses in the Fairmont area doing secretarial work and they farmed in the Granada area where she helped on the farm. Leslie died on February 15th, 1986. Lorraine entered the Lutheran Retirement Home on December 23rd, 2003. Lorraine was a member of the Congregational Church of Granada, United Church of Christ. Lorraine is survived by two sons, Robert and his wife Kathy of Granada, MN and Doug and his wife Judi of Waseca, MN; 5 grandchildren; one sister, JoAnne Conn and her husband John of Granada, MN and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Betty Schwieger.
