Alice Cordelia Traver

Funeral services for Alice C. Traver, 83, Truman, MN will be held on Monday, January 12, 2004 at 10:00 am at the Lutheran Retirement Home Chapel, Truman, MN with Rev. Penny Ritter officiating. Alice died Friday, January 9, 2004 at the Lutheran Retirement Home, Truman. Visitation will be from 9-10:00 am at the retirement home. Inurnment will take place at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Truman, MN at a later date. Arrangements are with Olson-Zaharia Funeral Home, Truman. Alice Cordelia Traver was born on March 26th, 1920 in Antrim Township, Watonwan County, MN to Albert and Alice Wilcox Traver. She attended rural School District 18. Alice worked at Tony Downs Processing in Madelia for eighteen years and at the Lutheran Retirement Home for twelve years retiring in 1987. Alice was a member of Community Baptist Church in Truman. She was active as the Sunday School Superintendent, teacher, youth leader and clerk at the church. She was also active with the American Baptist Women. Alice enjoyed reading, letter writing and crewel embroidery. Alice is survived by one brother, Marvin Traver and his wife Marcella, Truman, MN; two sisters-in-law, Katherine Traver, Truman, MN and Louise Traver, St. Paul, MN; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Leon and Harold; five sisters, Ethel Whistler, Frances Burk, Alberta "Billie? Burk, Bernice Traver and in infancy, Esther. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Foundation or donor's choice.
