VISITATION: Sunday, April 11, 2010 from 2-4:00 pm at Zaharia Family Funeral & Cremation Service of Truman and one hour before the services in the church
SERVICE: Monday, April 12, 2010 at 1:30 pm at St. James Lutheran Church, Northrop
CEMETERY: Center Creek Cemetery, rural Granada

Azelene K. Dundas was born on October 26, 1903 in rural Emmet County, IA to Frank and Mary (Matthews) Dundas. Azelene grew up in the Armstrong, IA area and in 1922 she graduated from Armstrong High School. Azelene taught rural school in Kossuth County, IA. On December 28, 1926 Azelene was united in marriage to Herman Jaskulke in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fenton, IA. They farmed near Armstrong until 1941 when they moved to rural Granada, MN. In 1953, they moved into Granada. She enjoyed going to nursing homes to help out at age 100. At age 101, Azelene decided it was time to move to the Lutheran Retirement Home in Truman. Azelene was a member of St. James Lutheran church in Northrop and the Ladies Aid. She taught bread baking in 4-H. Azelene enjoyed crocheting and making Barbie Doll clothes. Mrs. Jaskulke died on Thursday, April 08, 2010 at Truman Senior Living, Truman, MN.

Azelene is survived by one son, Cliff Jaskulke and his wife Marilyn of Mission Viejo, CA; two daughters, Mary Jane Nawrocki-Thelen and her husband Aldon of Fairmont, Janice Moeller and her husband Berdean of Granada, MN; 12 Grandchildren; 23 Great Grandchildren; 5 Great, Great Grandchildren; one sister-in-law Beulah Langerman, Algona, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters, Delores Ann and Arlene; one son, Herman “Red” Jaskulke; one son-in-law, Adrian Nawrocki; two sisters, Beulah and Valeta; three brothers, Dale, Ross and Arnold.
