Madge Helen Pries was born on August 10, 1910 in Peotone, Ill to August and Inga (Gullickson) Pries. She was baptized on November 27, 1910 in Peotone, Ill. She was confirmed August 17, 1930 in Good Thunder, MN. Madge graduated from Good Thunder High School on June 3, 1927. She attended Mankato Teachers College and taught eight years in Blue Earth County rural schools. On June 2, 1936 she was united in marriage to Clarence Walter Boesch in Good Thunder. They farmed in rural Truman until 1973 when they moved into Truman. Clarence died in 1996. Madge entered the Lutheran Manor in September of 2007 and Truman Senior Living in January of 2009. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Truman and the Ladies Aid. For many years she was a member of the County Corner Club. Madge loved to travel, read, knit, crochet and especially spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Madge died on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Truman Senior Living.

Madge is survived by three children, Donna (Arnold) Bentz, Truman, LaMae (William) Prigge, Zumbrota, MN, Durwood “Woody” (Peggy) Boesch, Henderson, NV; ten grandchildren, Lori (Dale) Stevermer, David (Tammy)Bentz, Darci (William Grogin) Bentz, Scott (Michele) Bentz, Debra (Matthew) Cage, Robert (Jennifer) Prigge, Bradly (Cara) Prigge, Roger (Brenda) Boesch, Patricia Boesch, Tricia (Jeffrey) Cook; seventeen great grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Maurine Burkes, Medford, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence and one sister, Lenora Schultz.
