Ashley Ann Sullivan was born on August 14, 1984 in Mankato, MN to Kenneth and Anna (Hendricks) Sullivan. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Crystal, MN. Ashley attended school in Lake Crystal. She worked at Lemay’s in Lake Crystal as a bar manager. Ashley also worked at the Americana Café in Lewisville. For the past four years, she had been working at the restaurant at the Interlaken Golf Club in Fairmont. She had just started college on January 11, 2010. Ashley was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville and of the American Legion Auxiliary in Lewisville. Ashley enjoyed golfing and watching CSI and American Idol. Her children were the focus of her life and she loved to spend time with them and the rest of her family. Ashley died on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at her home in rural Lewisville.

Ashley is survived by her two sons, Jaymes Deree and Audrick Haugen, both of Lewisville, MN; mother, Anna Gronewold, Lewisville; father, Kenneth Sullivan and special friend, Kirsten Skjervold and her son Skyler, Lake Crystal, MN; sisters, Amanda Sullivan, Mankato, Alesha Sullivan, Mankato, Sara Maldonado (Jose) of Laredo, TX, Amy Stedman, Lakota, IA, Patricia Luna, Mankato; paternal grandparents, George and Bev Sullivan, Lake Crystal and Phillip and Amelia Gronewold, Lewisville and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ashley was preceded in death by her step dad, Chester “Chet” Gronewold; grandparents, George and Arlice Hendricks and one sister, Daniell Gronewold.

Memorial contributions may be given for Ashley’s young boys at the Farmer’s State Bank in Lewisville or Madelia and at MinnStar Bank in Lake Crystal.
