Kenneth was born September 21st, 1943 to Erwin and Elna (Laue) Schultze in Fairmont. He was baptized at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert and confirmed in St. James Lutheran in Northrop. He attended St James Lutheran elementary school and Fairmont High School. Upon graduation, he joined the Navy and was stationed in Pensacola FL, Adak AK, and Alameda CA and served for six years. On October 15, 1965 he was married to Barbara Lohmann. After his honorary discharge from the Navy in 1968 he worked at Becker Grain, Truman Farmers Elevator, and Lohmann Plumbing. In 1986 he opened Truman Plumbing and Heating. In 2001 he was employed as Plumber Chief at the Minnesota State Capitol, and retired in April 2009. Kenneth is a member of American Legion Post 522, served on the Northrop Fire Department and Northrop City Council, and held the position of Mayor in Northrop. Presently he is the Water Superintendent for Northrop, President of the Fairmont Saddle Club, and took great pride in becoming a member of the Martin County Sheriff’s Posse. Kenneth enjoyed umpiring baseball games, fishing, riding horses, and spending time with family and friends. Kenny died on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at his home in Northrop.

Kenny is survived by his wife Barbara, daughter Beth Logan and husband Jay of New Richland, MN; two sons, Tim and wife Jacky of Sauk Rapids, MN and Jonathan and wife Sara of Sartell, MN; five grandchildren, Tyler, Grace, Tristyn, Brevyn, and Vanessa; two brothers, Lowell and wife Dee of Simi Valley, CA, and Warren and wife Carole of Northrop.; two sisters-in-law, DeAnne Novotny and husband Norm, and Carole Lohmann; one brother-in-law, David Lohmann and wife Barbara; nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister-in-law, and other relatives.
