Alice Annamae Kitzerow was born on November 11, 1922 in Waverly Township, Martin County, MN. She was united in marriage on June 17, 1949 to Roy L. Nelson. She attended beauty school and later worked for the MN Board of Hairdressing. She was owner/operator of Alyces Beauty Nook in Fairmont. After retirement, she was active in her church, the Martin County Historical Society and she enjoyed Garden Club. Alice passed away peacefully at the Good Samaritan Village in Mountain Lake, MN on September 1, 2009 at the age of eighty-six years.

Alice is survived by one daughter, three grandchildren, one sister, one sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, brother and her parents.

A private service will be held at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Truman. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Martin County Historical Society in her memory.
