Frediericka “Rica” Deling was born on March 31, 1925 in Nashville Township, Martin County, MN to Fredrick and Johanna (Oltmann) Deling. She attended school at Vernon Center and Garden City, MN. On May 7, 1944, Rica was united in marriage to Oscar Becker at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Vernon Center, MN. They moved to Truman in 1944. She was employed at the Chat-n-Chew in Truman for Mabel Bursell and at Truman Drug for Rich Loring. Rica was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Truman. Rica enjoyed canning and cooking and loved her stay at the Trimont nursing home. Rica died on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at the Trimont Health Care Center in Trimont, MN.

Rica is survived by two sons, William “Bill” Becker and his wife Gloria of Fairmont, Richard “Buzzy” Becker of Truman; one daughter, Betty Wiederhoeft and husband Richard of Fairmont; two grandsons , Jason Becker and wife Heather of Fairmont and Dustin Wiederhoeft and special friend Lindsay Maloney of Truman; two granddaughters, Kimberly White and special friend Nicholas Rudolph of Fairmont, Jessica Wiederhoeft, Fairmont; one great granddaughter, Abbiegail White; one brother, John Deling and wife Judy of Waseca, MN; two sisters, Lena Nelson of Winona, MN, Helen Kopiscke of Madison Lake, MN.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Trimont Health Care Center.
