Lester Arnold Hovdet was born on November 14, 1949, to Arnold and Emelia Kjobstad Hovdet in Mountain Lake, MN. On August 29, 1970 Lester was married to Diana Hartmann at Zion Lutheran Church in Odin, MN. Lester died on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

Lester is survived by his wife, Diana of Truman; two daughters and sons-in-law, April and Craig Oachs, Eagle Lake, MN, Nicole and Scott Greer, Eddyville, IA; three grandchildren, Dominic Greer, Kaylee Oachs, Kaden Oachs; mother-in-law, Adeline Hartmann, Fairmont, MN; one brother, James Hovdet and his wife Iona, Butterfield, MN; one sister, Shirley Haler, St. James, MN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Emily; two brothers-in-law, Bill Whitehead and LaVerne Haler; father-in-law, Roland Hartmann and one nephew, Cody
