Ruth Rose Tyson was born on October 29, 1917 in Hampshire, Ill to Albert and Anna (Warrington) Tyson. Ruth came to Minnesota in 1935 and married Vester Lloyd on January 1, 1938. They farmed in Martin County until retirement. Ruth enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, crafts, reading and growing flowers. In the last decades Ruth lost her eyesight. She listened to baseball games and was sad when the World Series came to an end. Ruth died on March 29, 2009 at the Lutz Wing Nursing Home in Fairmont.

Ruth is survived by her son Allan Lloyd of Ceylon, MN; one daughter Marian Lloyd Bader and her husband Edward C. of Danville, CA; two grandchildren and one great grandson all in CA; one sister, Marjorie Mapson, Granada, MN; one sister-in-law, Irene Tyson, Fairmont and numerous nieces and nephews. Vester died in 1998 and her son Donald, died in an accident in 1957. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Walter Tyson, Robert Tyson and William Tyson and one sister, Eleanor Maurer.
